Regional Director, International (EMEAA)
We are looking to appoint a Regional Director, International to take a senior leadership role across London P&I’s activities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and America.
This is a significant role within London P&I. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Regional Director will work closely with colleagues across Underwriting, Claims and Commercial to provide leadership and coordination across the region, with particular responsibility for our teams in London and Piraeus.
The role combines marine insurance expertise, leadership, member and broker engagement and commercial responsibility. It would suit someone who understands the P&I and wider marine insurance market, enjoys building trusted relationships, and is comfortable operating across different functions, markets and cultures.
The opportunity
The successful candidate will:
provide leadership and coordination for London P&I’s activities across the EMEAA region;
oversee the effective delivery of claims and underwriting services;
build and maintain senior relationships with Members, Assureds, brokers and other market participants;
work with our Commercial, Underwriting and Claims leadership to support retention and the development of London P&I’s portfolio;
lead the regional delivery of strategic initiatives and encourage effective collaboration across functions and geographies; and
contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to the wider progress and development of London P&I.
About you
We are principally interested in individuals with:
significant experience in marine insurance;
strong exposure to EMEAA markets;
a good understanding of P&I underwriting, claims and member service;
experience of leadership across multidisciplinary teams;
strong commercial judgement; and
the ability to build trusted relationships and influence effectively across different cultures and markets.
