This circular explains the IMO changes to the carriage requirements for direct reduced iron (DRI) under the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargo Code (IMSBC Code).

It sets out the updated classifications for DRI (A), (B) and (C), the main loading and carriage requirements, and the steps members should take when fixing vessels for DRI (B) or (C).
