This circular explains how London P&I provides evidence of cover for compulsory insurance regimes through Blue Cards, and sets out the move towards a standard approach that accepts electronic documents.

It also summarises the IMO Legal Committee's support for electronic Blue Cards, and notes that members should refer administrations to this circular where non-standard requirements are requested.
