EU adopts 9th package of Russia sanctions (5.618)

London P&I outlines the main measures in the EU’s ninth package of Russia sanctions, with a focus on changes relevant to shipping, insurance and trade.

The circular explains updated restrictions on dual-use goods, aviation goods, steel products, certain other products, LNG condensates, mining investment and the banking sector. It also notes that many of these measures include the provision of (re)insurance and set out wind-down periods and exemptions.
