Honduras - Oil Spill Response - new requirements (5.550)

London P&I explains the new oil spill response requirements for vessels calling at Honduran ports or requesting anchorage within Honduran waters from 1 January 2018.

The circular sets out the need to nominate an approved oil spill response organisation, confirms the insurance evidence accepted by the Honduras Maritime Authority, and notes the additional standby contract that shipowners must arrange locally.
