Limit on Cover for Oil Pollution Risks (5.288)

London P&I confirms that the International Group of P&I Clubs has increased the limit on cover for oil pollution risks for Owners’ mutual entries. The change takes effect from noon GMT on 20 February 2000.

We also note that reinsurance rates had not yet been determined at the time of the circular, and that tankers carrying persistent oil to and from the United States would continue to be surcharged, with rates to be advised separately.
