Maritime Labour Convention 2006 as amended (MLC) - Financial Security Requirements (5.536)

This circular explains how London P&I and the other International Group Clubs are preparing to provide the financial security certificates required under the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, as amended.

It sets out which ships need certificates, how they will be issued, how the cover relates to standard P&I insurance for crew liabilities, and how the Maritime Labour Convention Extension Clause 2016 works. It also includes the certificate wordings and the extension clause itself.
