Maritime Security SOLAS Amendments and the ISPS Code (5.337)

London P&I reminds members that the ISPS Code was incorporated into SOLAS and that applicable vessels needed International Ship Security Certificates on or before 1 July 2004.

We also underline that compliance with flag state statutory requirements, including ISPS certification, is a condition of P&I cover. Members seeking further guidance are referred to the International Chamber of Shipping publication Maritime Security Code and Guidance for Ship Operators.
