Maritime Security US requirements and the ISPS Code (5.328)

This circular explains a potential inconsistency between US Maritime Transportation Security Act requirements and the US Coast Guard guidance for non-US flag ship security plans, and reminds Members of the 1 July 2004 ISPS Code deadline.

London P&I also notes that foreign-flag vessels subject to SOLAS should submit security plans to their flag state or flag administration, not to the Coast Guard, and recommends early preparation for Members trading to the USA.
