London P&I gave notice of a separate meeting of members of Class 8, the Freight, Demurrage and Defence Class, to consider changes to the Rules. The proposed amendments covered entry conditions linked to LSSO (Bermuda), classification requirements and arbitration wording.

The circular also explains the purpose of each change and notes that the amendments were intended to take effect from noon GMT on 20 February 1997.
