Oil Pollution in the United States, Tanker Voyage Additional Premium System - 2010/11 Policy Year (5.401)

London P&I confirms that special arrangements for US OPA 90 pollution liabilities on tankers will apply again for the 2010/11 policy year, where cover is otherwise excluded under the rules.

Members who want this cover must submit quarterly declarations in line with Rule 9.15.1.5.3 and meet the 20 February 2010 deadline. The circular also sets out the additional premium rates, reduced from 2009/10, and notes lower surcharges for vessels fitted with segregated ballast tanks.
