Recommendations on Carriage of Calcium Hypochlorite (5.299)

This circular explains London P&I’s recommendations for the carriage of calcium hypochlorite, following revisions to the IMDG Code and related guidance from the IMO.

It highlights London P&I’s view that additional precautions remain necessary, including stowage clear of living quarters and a package weight limit for certain shipments. It also lists alternative names under which calcium hypochlorite may be shipped.
