Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Marine Pollution form Ships (5.413)
This circular explains the latest position on China’s Regulations on the Prevention and Control of Marine Pollution from Ships, including the delay to the rules needed before certain clean-up contract requirements can take effect.
London P&I notes that the International Group will continue to engage with the Maritime Safety Agency and will provide a further update when the position becomes clearer. Members are also reminded of the recommendation not to enter into spill response contracts for compliance purposes until the additional rules have been issued, and to discuss any proposed arrangements with the Managers first.
