Regulations of the Peoples Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Marine Pollution from Ships (5.405)
London P&I explains the latest position on the People’s Republic of China’s regulations on the prevention and control of marine pollution from ships. The circular focuses on the expected delay to the requirement for certain vessels to enter into pollution clean-up contracts before calling at a PRC port.
London P&I also notes that further rules from the Maritime Safety Agency are expected, and members are advised to wait until those rules are issued before making contractual arrangements.
