Response to the US Global Maritime Advisory (5.584)

This circular explains London P&I’s view of the US Global Maritime Advisory issued on 14 May 2020. It highlights the Guidance’s focus on sanctions compliance in Iran, Syria and the DPRK, and notes practical and legal challenges for maritime businesses.

London P&I also draws attention to issues around voluntary disclosure, AIS monitoring, LRIT, and enhanced KYC and KYCC checks.
