Revised version 3.0 of the IG/CINS Guidelines for the Carriage of Calcium Hypochlorite in Containers (5.553)

London P&I notes that the International Group of P&I Clubs and CINS have issued version 3.0 of the Guidelines for the Carriage of Calcium Hypochlorite in Containers. The update provides continuity on package limit references and clarifies the nature of the guidelines, which include selected IMDG Code provisions plus additional precautions.

London P&I also highlights the role of CINS in helping container lines identify and address cargo and packing risks to improve safety.
