Roll Risk Estimator – MARIN (5.609)

London P&I advises members that the International Group is taking part in MARIN's Top Tier project, which looks at the causes of container losses at sea, particularly on ultra large container ships.

The circular also explains that the Roll Risk Estimator V1.1 is available from MARIN and shows combinations of speed, heading and wave period that should be avoided because they can lead to unfavourable roll motion.
