Rule Changes – Class 8 (8.123)

London P&I is proposing updates to the Rules for Class 8, the Freight, Demurrage and Defence class. The changes will be put to a separate meeting of members on 5 February 2025 and, if adopted, will take effect from 20 February 2025.

The proposed amendments cover gender-neutral wording, align the other insurances, release calls and jurisdiction provisions with Class 5, and confirm the position on waiving immunity where relevant.
