US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Vessel General Permit (VGP) Requirements (5.383)

This circular explains the timing of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Vessel General Permit requirements for certain commercial vessels and sets out the temporary court delay affecting compliance.

London P&I confirms that the EPA says the permit effective date remains 19 December 2008, but owners do not need to comply with the finalised Vessel General Permit until 6 February 2009.
