Andy Chan

Biography

I help Far East members arrange operational surveys at worldwide ports. My role is to bridge the communication gap between members and service providers, and forewarn members of the risks their trades might entail. Knowing my work has facilitated safer sea trade fulfils me.

Previously. I worked with surveyors and adjusters on marine cargo claims within Asia on behalf of major Korean insurers, exposing me to a variety of cargoes, and fostering my skill in depicting a situation. My academic background in marketing and international relations also helps me understand challenges from both commercial and the increasingly relevant political perspective.
