Biography
I manage a team of maritime solicitors and senior P&I claims experts. Our combined expertise supports members and assureds across a range of global issues, assisted by a trusted network of correspondents. As a Master Mariner with 13 years at sea, I understand the technical aspects of most P&I matters. We support both owners and charterers, so see both sides of disputes allowing prompt legal and commercial advice. I also have a degree in engineering, naval architecture and oceanography. I regularly share my experience through talks to members and correspondents, and was the IG Correspondents Committee’s chair for 13 years.
