Jessica Slater

Biography

I help members navigate complex disputes by providing English law advice and a solutions-oriented approach. I enjoy shipping’s multi-jurisdictional nature and diversity, advising on a range of commercial contracts, charterparties and bills of lading. My last decade in shipping law firms in London and Australia developed experience in court litigation and international arbitration, including high-value disputes across dry and wet shipping, shipbuilding, LNG and offshore energy. I’m also experienced in ship finance and sale and purchase. I grew up sailing and qualified as a dinghy instructor, teaching in England, Sardinia and Australia. I now regularly race yachts on the Solent.
