Biography

I help members and colleagues understand our existing and new covers, and advise on  the shipping law and other principles which underpin it. My background in-house at a Danish shipowner and as a solicitor at HFW gave me a good foundation. Now, after 30+ years in the industry,  I enjoy summarising complex issues, making them (hopefully) clearer and passing my knowledge on to the next generation. I never say no when invited to board a member’s ship. I’ve been lucky enough to do a few voyages and think it’s a great way for lawyers to  understand members’ needs.
