Founded in 1866, London P&I was established during one of the biggest periods of change in the shipping industry, as global trade expanded and ships moved from sail to steam. Over 160 years later, shipping is still evolving – and so are we.
As one of the founding members of The London Group, the pre-cursor to the International Group of P&I Clubs, we've helped create modern marine liability insurance while adapting to shipowners' and charterers' changing needs.
