Chinese Pollution Regulations - Updated List of SPROs (31 July 2012)

10 August 2012

Members will be aware from the International Group FAQs on Chinese Pollution Regulations that Owners will need to contract with a Ship Pollution Response Organisation (SPRO) for their pollution response in a particular port in China. The latest translated list of SPROs as of 31 July 2012 is attached to this notice.

The updated list has been released to include several newly approved SPROs respectively located in Liaoning, Tianjin and Zhejiang and to upgrade one of the Level Two SPROs in the previous list (released on 26 April 2012), named “China Yingcou Port Tanker Cleaning Co., Ltd.”, to the First Level.  All of the revisions/additions on the list have been highlighted in yellow to assist Members.
